Estevan Montoya

Pastor Estevan Montoya was saved at the age of sixteen on a Wednesday night in the year 2000 after hearing a missionary preach the Gospel. After being baptized, he sensed a call to preach just a few months later and attended Bible college, where he met his wife, Eileen, and became involved in bus ministry and regular preaching. He served for one year under Pastor Boggs at Rio Grande Baptist Church in 2006, then planted and pastored a church in Taos, New Mexico from 2007 to 2019. During his years in Taos and later while serving at Valley Bible Baptist Church in Española from 2019 to 2021, he was involved in youth ministry, preached throughout the Southwest, helped plant several churches, and produced Gospel tracts for hundreds of churches across America. In November 2021, Pastor Montoya was unanimously called to serve as Pastor of Rio Grande Baptist Church, and his desire is that every person who hears him preach would leave knowing they have heard the Word of God accurately, passionately, and from a heart that seeks to lift up Christ and strengthen believers, while reaching the South Valley of Albuquerque with the Gospel, pursuing local church planting in New Mexico, and supporting worldwide missions.
